Does the University share student related information with third parties?
University of the Southwest shares only the minimum information needed for any of our 3rd party partners to perform the tasks for which they are partnered to our Organization. Such information does not include Grades, Health information or any other privileged data beyond name, student email address, enrollment in courses (in the case of Blackboard which the school uses for online course delivery) or phone numbers in the case of our Outreach partners who the University uses to notify students of upcoming events, campus emergencies or technology issues affecting them. We do not share performance information, health related data or any other information beyond that which is strictly necessary to provide services to our Students. The University does not sell any such data, nor do we provide unauthorized parties access to said information without a legitimate need and proper authorization in the case of any FERPA protected data.
