If you are a new student or need additional services, please contact the Office of the Registrar at
registrar@usw.edu to arrange an appointment with an Academic Advisor. Appointments are not required, but will take priority over walk-ins.
Prospective, new, and transfer students, please be aware that a degree plan is unofficial and not complete until an official transcript evaluation and the official degree plan is developed and approved by academic advisors in the Registrar's Office.
Academic Deans serve as Academic Advisors for Undergraduate Students .
Faculty Chairs serve as Academic Mentors/Advisors for Graduate Students.
Transfer of Credit
Credit may be given for coursework completed at another accredited college or university if it meets the criteria set forth in the
USW Catalog in effect at the time of the student's admission to USW. Transfer students from an accredited college or university must complete at least 30 upper level hours at University of the Southwest plus other institutional or degree specific requirements. Developmental courses or F's will not be accepted.
